Headliners
BUDDY WASISNAME AND THE OTHER FELLERS
Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers have been touring the country for over 26 years. They bring a highly entertaining theatrical performance, rich with Newfoundland character, both serious and comedic. Their songs, tunes and sketches, are largely original and sometimes traditional. They play numerous acoustic instruments and an occasional unorthodox item outside of the standard orchestral ensemble... garbage bags, frogs, things that go tump whiz, snap and sometimes pfabble, and anything else that can be used for effect.
They would also like you to know that no animals have been used in the testing of their show, despite the overwhelming urge to bring dogs into their performance. Songs about dogs will have to suffice.

Ray Johnson: Job's Cove, Conception Bay, Nfld.
Sings, plays the accordions and fiddle, contributes to the song and recitation writing and contributes a large number of traditional songs, plays a great straight man in comic routines. Ray is well known as a brilliant instrumentalist.

Wayne Chaulk: Charlottetown, Bonavista Bay, Nfld.
Sings, plays the guitar and mandolin, does a large part of the formal script writing. He does straight man parts as well as characters in the skits. He writes both comic and straight songs and is well known for his contemplative ballads.

Kevin Blackmore: Glovertown, Bonavista Bay, Nfld.
Sings, creates noise, acts like a loon with rabies. Contributes to the song and comedy writing and plays guitar, mandolin bass, banjo and almost anything capable of producing sound if squeezed, shot, banged or broken. He should be contained at all times.

-Their show-
They travel with a Bass Player, Byron Pardy, who adds depth and dimension to their music. There are four good voices on stage and the blending of these voices to create harmony is one of their strong points. The show moves along in an undulating emotional wave that is sometimes hilarious and gut wrenching, and then reflective, serious, larmoyant. Pain killers may be needed for sore jaws
